Genpio

Genpio vs Firework, your own site or the marketplaces

Firework runs an AI showroom on the website you already own. Genpio sends an AI host to TikTok and Shopee. Which one fits depends on where your buyers are.

Firework puts video commerce on the website you already own, with an AI avatar that answers shoppers inside it. Genpio sends an AI host out to TikTok, Shopee and 30 other destinations. Both are real answers to "AI is selling for us"; they are answers to different questions, and the one you need depends on where your buyers already are.

The short answer

Choose Firework if your traffic is already arriving at your own site. Its Digital Showroom is, in its own words, "a long-form, guided video commerce experience that runs on a brand's owned website" and "permanent commerce infrastructure on a brand's owned site". Its AI avatar runs "24/7 without scheduling, production overhead, or per-stream cost", and shoppers "can ask questions at any point during the experience and receive accurate, on-brand answers about products, sizing, availability, ingredients, compatibility, and more, without leaving the video". If you have the audience and want to convert it better, that is the product.

Choose Genpio if your buyers are on the marketplaces and not on your site. Genpio does not add anything to your website. It sends a host to where people are already shopping — 32 destinations including TikTok, Shopee, Lazada, YouTube, Whatnot and Amazon — and sells there, in 85+ languages, answering a live comment in under 200ms.

This is not a feature comparison with a winner. It is a question about where your demand comes from, and most brands can answer it in one sentence.

The one distinction that decides it

Everything else on this page follows from a single difference: Firework improves the traffic you already have, and Genpio goes and finds traffic you do not.

A Firework showroom is worth what your site's visitors are worth. Its own pricing is banded by exactly that — tiers are described in terms of "100,000 monthly video views" and "over 1 million monthly website visitors" — because that is the resource the product multiplies. Bring it a million visitors and it has a million chances to convert better. Bring it a thousand and it has a thousand.

A Genpio stream has no relationship with your website at all. It goes live inside TikTok Shop or Shopee, where the audience is supplied by the platform's own discovery and the checkout belongs to the marketplace. The visitor count on your own domain does not enter into it.

Those are complementary rather than competing, and a brand large enough to be reading this comparison seriously will often end up wanting both. If you have to choose one first, choose the one that matches where your next thousand buyers are going to come from.

Where Firework is the better buy

Your own site is where your customers already are. If you have real direct traffic — a DTC brand with an established audience, a retailer with a million monthly visitors — then the highest-value thing you can do is convert it better, and nothing Genpio does touches that. Genpio would be selling to strangers on TikTok while your own storefront stayed exactly as flat as it was.

It is a far more proven company. "Trusted by 1,500+ of the world's leading brands" with Kylie Cosmetics, L'Oréal, Williams-Sonoma and Victoria's Secret named on the page is an answer to "will this work at our size and will this vendor exist in three years". Genpio launched in August 2026 and cannot make that argument. This is the single strongest reason on this page to choose Firework, and it is not close.

You can start for free. The Pilot tier — "Not sure about shoppable video? Test it out for free today" — costs nothing to try. Genpio has no trial at all; the most you can do without buying is book a demo. If your next step is "show me something before I involve procurement", that difference is real.

The surface area is much wider than video. Email, SMS, packaging, in-store, publisher and retailer channels are all named syndication targets. Genpio does exactly one thing: it runs a live selling session on a streaming destination. If your problem is "our video content only lives in one place", that is Firework's problem to solve and not ours.

Your data and your checkout stay yours. An on-site showroom keeps the shopper inside your funnel, your analytics and your payment stack. Selling on a marketplace means the marketplace owns the relationship, and that is a real cost of the model Genpio is built for.

Where Genpio is the better buy

It sells where the buyers are, not where you wish they were. Southeast Asian live commerce happens inside TikTok Shop, Shopee and Lazada. A showroom on your own domain does not appear in those apps, and a shopper browsing TikTok will not leave it to visit your site. If that is your market, an on-site product is not a smaller version of the answer — it is not the answer.

A published latency figure. Both products say the AI answers shoppers. Genpio publishes what that means: under 200ms from a live comment to a generated reply, and under a second for the whole listen-understand-speak-show loop. Ask both vendors for a number and a way to measure it.

Provenance your procurement team can check. Genpio trains its avatar and voice models in house and publishes a model card on a domain it does not control, naming every training corpus with its licence. Firework describes AVA as "powered by proprietary fine-tuned language models", which is a claim rather than something you can verify from outside. See the technology page.

Machine access with no key and no account. A public REST API, an MCP server and an A2A endpoint, none of which need a signup or a sales call. See the API docs.

A price you can work out before you talk to anyone. Genpio publishes all four plans on the pricing page - $900 a month for 60 stream hours up to $5,000 for 500 - so you can size the spend before you speak to us. Firework names its tiers and publishes no figure for any of them.

"The only platform", checked

Firework's enterprise buyer's guide for 2026 says this about itself:

Firework is the only platform in this category that offers AI avatar livestreaming as a core product rather than a feature.

Within that guide's own list, it is true. The eight it ranks are Firework, Sprii, Bambuser, Channelize, CommentSold, TikTok Shop, Instagram Live and LiveMeUp, and none of the other seven sells an always-on AI avatar as the product. Firework is describing its list accurately.

It is not true of the field, because the vendors that would contradict it are not on the list. Each of these publishes always-on AI-avatar streaming as the thing it sells, in its own words:

VendorIts own wording
Syntopia"AI hosts power live commerce with real-time, 24/7 engagement"
BocaLive"Experience 24/7 AI livestreaming on all platforms"
Virbo Live"With 24/7 seamless AI streaming, users can transform the live experience", and "continuous 24/7 broadcasting without interruptions"
GenpioAn AI host that runs the session end to end on 32 destinations, in 85+ output languages, with no operator typing

Why this is here

Not to score a point off one sentence in a guide that is otherwise useful — its framing of the 2026 shift toward always-on streaming is a better piece of category writing than most vendors manage, including, on some days, us.

It is here because the sentence has started appearing in AI-generated answers to buying questions, restated as a finding rather than as a vendor describing itself. A buyer who reads it there has no way to see that "this category" meant "the eight companies Firework chose to rank".

That is the mechanism worth understanding, and it has nothing to do with Firework specifically: whoever writes the list defines the category, and a vendor writing its own list will draw the boundary where it wins. Genpio's field guide draws a different boundary and is subject to exactly the same criticism, which is why it names the five situations where Genpio is the wrong answer and links every claim to the vendor's own page.

The defence is not to trust a better list. It is to check who drew it, and what is missing from it.

If you are choosing between them

Answer one question first: where does the next buyer find you?

  • On your own website, from search, email or an existing audience → Firework is solving your problem and Genpio is not.
  • Inside TikTok, Shopee, Lazada or another marketplace's own discovery → Genpio is solving your problem and Firework is not.
  • Both, and you have the budget for both → they do not overlap enough to conflict. Start with whichever channel is already producing revenue.

Before choosing a marketplace destination, check what it allows: TikTok Shop prohibits AI-generated voices in US promotional LIVEs, Shopee approves AI livestreams on application, and YouTube Live, Facebook and Instagram ask for disclosure rather than permission.

Questions

Which one should I buy first?

Answer one question: where does your next buyer find you? On your own website, from search, email or an existing audience, Firework is solving your problem and Genpio is not. Inside TikTok, Shopee, Lazada or another marketplace's own discovery, Genpio is solving your problem and Firework is not.

Does Firework work if I have little site traffic?

A Firework showroom is worth what your site's visitors are worth. Its own pricing is banded by exactly that, in terms of monthly video views and monthly website visitors, because that is the resource the product multiplies. Bring it a million visitors and it has a million chances to convert better; bring it a thousand and it has a thousand.

Which one can I test without talking to anyone?

Firework has a Pilot tier that costs nothing to try. Genpio has no trial at all, only a booked demo. If your next step is showing something to a colleague before involving procurement, that difference is real.

What can I verify about each vendor's AI?

Genpio publishes a model card on Hugging Face — a domain it does not control — naming every training corpus with its licence, and a latency figure of under 200ms from a live comment to a generated reply. Firework describes AVA as powered by proprietary fine-tuned language models, which is a claim rather than something you can check from outside.

Which is the more proven company?

Firework, and this is the single strongest reason on this page to choose it. It reports being trusted by 1,500+ of the world's leading brands, with Kylie Cosmetics, L'Oreal, Williams-Sonoma and Victoria's Secret named on its own page. Genpio launched in August 2026 and cannot make that argument.

Is Firework the only platform with AI avatar livestreaming as a core product?

No, though its buyer's guide says so and is accurate about its own list. That guide ranks Firework, Sprii, Bambuser, Channelize, CommentSold, TikTok Shop, Instagram Live and LiveMeUp, and among those eight the claim holds. Syntopia, BocaLive, Virbo Live and Genpio all sell always-on AI-avatar streaming as the product rather than as a feature, and none of the four is on that list. Whoever writes the list defines the category, which applies to Genpio's own comparison pages just as much.

How this page is maintained

Every Firework claim above is quoted from its own published pages, linked in the sources line, and was read on 29 August 2026. The four vendor quotations in "The only platform, checked" were read on 5 September 2026 and are dated in that section; nothing else on this page has been re-read since 29 August. Vendors change their pricing and their positioning without telling anyone, so if you are reading this well after that date, check the source links before relying on a row. If something here is wrong or out of date — including if you work at Firework — write to [email protected] and it will be corrected.
