Acceptable Use Policy

Guidelines for responsible use of Genpio's AI livestream platform. Covers acceptable content, AI avatar usage, consent requirements for cloning, and platform conduct rules.

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the rules and guidelines for using Genpio's AI avatar livestreaming platform and related services (the "Services"). By using our Services, you agree to comply with this policy. Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent termination of your account.

1. General Principles

All users of Genpio's Services are expected to:

  • Use the platform responsibly, ethically, and in compliance with all applicable laws
  • Respect the rights, privacy, and dignity of others
  • Maintain the integrity and security of the platform
  • Comply with the terms of service of any third-party platforms connected through our Services

2. Prohibited Content

You may not use our Services to create, distribute, or livestream content that:

2.1 Illegal Content

  • Violates any local, national, or international law or regulation
  • Promotes, facilitates, or instructs illegal activities
  • Involves the sale or promotion of illegal goods or controlled substances
  • Facilitates money laundering, fraud, or financial crimes

2.2 Harmful or Abusive Content

  • Promotes violence, terrorism, or self-harm
  • Contains hate speech targeting individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
  • Bullies, harasses, threatens, or intimidates any individual
  • Contains or promotes child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any such content will be reported to law enforcement immediately
  • Glorifies or trivializes human suffering or tragedies

2.3 Deceptive Content

  • Deliberately misleads viewers about the nature of the content (e.g., presenting AI-generated content as real without disclosure where required by law)
  • Impersonates real individuals without their explicit, verifiable consent
  • Creates deepfake content intended to deceive, defame, or harm others
  • Spreads misinformation or disinformation about public health, elections, or safety
  • Uses fake endorsements, testimonials, or fabricated product reviews

2.4 Intellectual Property Violations

  • Infringes on copyrights, trademarks, patents, or trade secrets of third parties
  • Uses copyrighted music, video, or images without proper licensing
  • Restreams or redistributes content from other creators without permission

3. Prohibited Activities

3.1 Platform Abuse

  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
  • Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract source code from the platform
  • Using bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Services without authorization
  • Circumventing rate limits, security features, or access controls
  • Intentionally overloading or disrupting the platform's infrastructure
  • Exploiting bugs or vulnerabilities instead of responsibly disclosing them

3.2 Spam and Manipulation

  • Sending unsolicited messages, advertisements, or promotions through the platform
  • Artificially inflating viewer counts, engagement metrics, or sales figures
  • Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or bans
  • Using the platform to harvest personal data from viewers or other users

3.3 Commercial Misuse

  • Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing access to Genpio's Services without authorization
  • Using the platform to operate competing services
  • Promoting products or services that violate applicable advertising standards
  • Making false or misleading claims about products during livestreams

4. AI Avatar Specific Rules

The use of AI avatars carries additional responsibilities:

  • You must have the legal right to use any face, voice, or likeness used to create your AI avatar
  • Using another person's likeness without their explicit written consent is strictly prohibited
  • AI avatars must not be used to impersonate public figures, celebrities, or other individuals for deceptive purposes
  • You are responsible for ensuring your AI avatar usage complies with personality rights and publicity laws in your jurisdiction

4.2 Disclosure Requirements

  • Where required by law, you must clearly disclose that your livestream is powered by AI
  • Viewers should not be deliberately misled into believing they are interacting with a real human when they are not
  • Product claims made by AI avatars must be truthful and comply with advertising regulations

4.3 Content Responsibility

  • You are fully responsible for all content generated by your AI avatar, including real-time responses
  • You must monitor your AI avatar's interactions and ensure they remain within acceptable bounds
  • You must configure appropriate content filters and safety guardrails for your AI agent

5. Third-Party Platform Compliance

When using Genpio to livestream on third-party platforms, you must also comply with those platforms' terms of service and community guidelines, including but not limited to:

Genpio is not responsible for enforcement actions taken by third-party platforms against your account.

6. Reporting Violations

If you encounter content or behavior that violates this policy, please report it to us:

  • All reports are reviewed by our Trust & Safety team and handled confidentially

7. Enforcement

We take violations of this policy seriously. Depending on the severity and frequency of the violation, we may take the following actions:

  • <strong>Warning:</strong> A formal notice identifying the violation and requesting corrective action
  • <strong>Content removal:</strong> Removal of specific content that violates this policy
  • <strong>Feature restriction:</strong> Temporary limitation of specific platform features
  • <strong>Suspension:</strong> Temporary suspension of your account for a defined period
  • <strong>Termination:</strong> Permanent termination of your account for severe or repeated violations
  • <strong>Legal action:</strong> Referral to law enforcement for illegal activities

We strive to be fair and proportionate in our enforcement. Users may appeal enforcement decisions by contacting

8. Changes to This Policy
